Cleveland, OH... The new Tensi-Master® DIN-rail Mountable Tension Amplifier, from the Industrial Products Group of Cleveland Motion Controls, Inc., provides users with a cost-effective space-saving solution to monitor web tension in printing presses and other machinery for processing moving webs.

The new Tensi-Master® Tension Amplifier and Power Supply are designed to snap onto any standard 35mm DIN rail for convenient installation. Its ultra-compact size, compared to the conventional PC board type, helps reduce panel size and simplifies mounting and electrical hook-up; which makes it ideal for applications that require tension indication of multiple rolls. A single 24 VDC power supply module can operate any quantity of the new amplifier modules.

The DR tension amplifier module operates with foil or semi-conductor strain gage transducers, and accommodates an 8:1 full scale tension calibration range. It provides three different output signals for analog or digital tension indication, or a 0-10 VDC output for use in other control equipment. The output can be connected to an optional Isolation Module which mounts on the DIN rail and provides an isolated 0 to +/-10 VDC or 4-20mA tension signal output.
