FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
Cleveland, Oh... The new Cleveland-Kidder(r) Slim Cell from Cleveland Motion Controls, Inc. (CMC), measures and monitors precise tension on web process or wire machinery that utilizes either rotating shafts or dead shaft rollers. It is especially beneficial in load cell applications where space is tight, web tensions are typically low, and the environment is demanding.
With a low profile design, the new Cleveland-Kidder(r) Slim Cell reduces the side-frame-to-side-frame width requirements of the machine. With a maintenance-free solid lubricant bearing with very low friction, it is ideal for low tension applications, extending usable tension ranges of web machinery by measuring both low and high tensions.
With a completely dust sealed, corrosion resisting, water resisting design, the new Cleveland-Kidder(r) Slim Cell is an ideal load cell solution for demanding industrial environments. It is available in two sizes and has force ratings from 10 to 2,000 lbs. (45 N to 9,000 N), enabling application to a wide range of tensions.
CMC manufactures numerous Cleveland-Kidder(r) and Tensi-Master(r) Web Tension Controls and Load Cells for indicating precise tension or control in the processing of paper, film, foil, tape, rubber, linoleum, filament, cable, etc.
CMC, with headquarters in Cleveland, Ohio, and part of the Controls Group of IMC, is a major supplier of high performance motion controls and systems. Its controllers, amplifiers, motors, encoders, and automation controls are used to improve quality and productivity in a wide range of industrial applications.
