Job Title: Assistant Controller


Location: Cleveland Corporate Office

Reports to: Group Controller of IMC Controls Group


Role/Summary:

High-energy results oriented business leader to oversee the Accounting/Finance Reporting and Cost Accounting activity for a diversified developer and manufacturer of Engineered Motion Control solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing and directing all general ledger activities including the preparation and reporting of the companies consolidated financial statements including European subsidiaries.
  • Managing and developing Operating and Capital budgets and forecasts that are realistic and meet ROI expectations.
  • Provide accurate, timely financial reporting.
  • Managing and performing variance analysis.
  • Overseeing A/P, Cost Accounting, Fixed Assets, Inventory and General Ledger.
  • Ensure that all corporate accounting and financial policies, procedures and controls are applied on a consistent basis.
  • Achieve clean financial and internal audits.
  • Manage a staff with three direct reports.

Essential Traits:

  • This is a hands on position that has an active role in providing timely reporting and analysis.
  • Candidates must have excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively balance overlapping priorities.
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization, and effectively prioritize tasks

  • Operating Margin

Qualifications:

  • Required Bachelor's degree in Accounting / Finance
  • CPA with prior public accounting experience preferred
  • Requires a minimum of 7-10 years previous manufacturing accounting experience.
  • Working Knowledge and experience of Oracle ERP highly preferred
  • Must have experience in standard cost, budgeting/forecasting and knowledge of financial controls and reporting.
